Council meets with US Consul General Michael Ratney and British Consul General Sir Vincent Fean.

The Council of Religious Institutions in the Holy Land met with the US Consul General, Michael Ratney. Convener to the Council, Reverend Trond Bakkevig welcomed the Consul General, presented an overview and thanked him for the US administration’s support  to the Council and its religious leaders. The Consul General gave constructive advice and expressed desire for future cooperation in various venues.

The Council was received by the British Consul General Sir Vincent Fean in his residence and met with the Director of the British Council Alan Smart and the Head of the Department for International Development Jonathan Hargreaves. Among issues discussed was the significant role religious leaders must play in the peace process along with future venues of cooperation between the Council and the Consulate.
