CRIHL condemns desecration of Greek Orthodox Monastery

 JERUSALEM, 7 February 2012

The Council of Religious Institutions of the Holy Land condemns the acts of desecration and graffiti of the Greek Orthodox Monastery in Jerusalem last night. The Council calls upon people from all faiths – Christians, Jews and Muslims – to respect all Holy Places and sites for all three religions, and strongly discourages extremists’ behaviour that exploits or involves religious holy places in a political/territorial dispute.

מועצת המוסדות הדתיים בארץ הקודש מגנה את מעשי חילול המנזר בעמק-המצלבה היום. המועצה קוראת למאמיני הדתות השונות – יהודים ,נוצרים ומוסלמים לכבד את המקומות הקדושים עבור כל אחת מהדתות, ולהימנע מפעולות קיצוניות המנצלות או מערבות דת במחלוקות פוליטיות או טריטוריאליות.

בשמם של הרבנות הראשית לישראל, המשרד לענייני וואקף ושירותי דת, בתי הדין השרעים ברשות הפלסטינית, וראשי הכנסיות בארץ הקודש.

يدين مجلس المؤسسات الدينية في الأراضي المقدسة أعمال تدنيس وكتابة شعارات على دير المصلبة في القدس.هذا ويدعو المجلس الناس من جميع الأديان -- يهود ومسيحيين ومسلمين -- إلى احترام جميع الأماكن المقدسة والمواقعلجميع الديانات ، ويثبط بشدة عزيمة سلوك المتطرفين الذين يستغلون الدين والأماكن المقدسة في نزاع سياسي /الإقليمي.
باسم الحاخامية الكبرى في اسرائيل ، وزارة الأوقاف والشؤون الدينية لدى السلطة الفلسطينية ورؤساء الكنائسالمحلية في الأرض المقدسة.
