Rev. Dr & Canon Trond Bakkevig is the Convener of the Council of Religious Institutions of the Holy Land and dean of Vestre Aker, Oslo in the Church of Norway.
Trond Bakkevig has a doctorate from the University of Oslo and has served as general secretary of the Council of Ecumenical and International Affairs of the Church of Norway (1984-1993) and Personal Adviser to the Norwegian Minister of Foreign Affairs (1987-1988). He has also served on the Central Committee of the World Council of Churches (1997-2006), and as moderator of the board of the Centre for Human Rights at the University of Oslo (1993-1998).
He is married and has two sons.
Fadi Rabieh grew up in the holy – yet divided – city of Jerusalem. He has been working on issues related to the Palestinian-Israeli conflict for the past ten years. Now, he co-manages the Council of Religious Institutions of the Holy Land www.crihl.org. A body that brings the highest and official religious institutions to find ways to make religious discourse part of the solution (instead of being part of the problem). From 2008-2012 he worked with Search for Common Ground- Jerusalemwww.sfcg.org office on managing and expanding a Palestinian-Israeli Leadership Network; a network that brings Palestinian and Israeli leaders across sectors—civil society, politics, and business--for relationships building and leadership development. Fadi is a Fulbright fellow and holds a Master degree in Conflict Transformation & Peacebuilding from Eastern Mennonite University in Virginia. And Currently pursuing his second Master’s in Organizational Behavior & Development. He is also a Dalai Lama Fellow www.dalailamafellows.org
Ms. Emma Weizman-Rosen acts as co-director on the secretariat of the Council of Religious Institutions of the Holy Land, working out of the Jerusalem office of Search for Common Ground.
Emma was born in the UK and immigrated to Israel in 1991. She holds a B.A. in Behavioural Studies from the Ben -Gurion University of the Negev and an M.A. in Creative Art Therapy from Lesley College, Boston, MA. For the past few years Emma has been working in an integrated Arab-Jewish school for the deaf.
